Intimate Encounters, a book written by David and Theresa Ferguson is an intensive 16 week course providing practical, Christ-centered principles for truly “knowing” and loving your spouse, allowing them to better “know” you and how to love you - all provided within the context of a workshop filled with hands-on exercises and examples of how to become caringly involved in each others lives.
Intimate Encounters is for:
• Couples who wish to enrich and strengthen their marriage
• Engaged and Pre-Engaged Couples who wish to prepare for marriage
• Lay Couples and Church Staff who wish to learn how to start or lead this marriage
ministry in their church and community
This encouraging, practical workshop will help you. . .
• To overcome the "first crisis" through loving each other... and God
• To know and meet each others God-given relational needs
• To speak the truth in a loving manner
• To know how to respond when someone is "upset"
• To experience God's plan for resolving hurt, anger and guilt
• Learn how the families we came from shape us and how we can respond today
• To continue to grow and change after the workshop
Mark and Carla Frady are the facilitators of this class, which begins every January and September. Cost per couple to cover the cost of the books is $40. There are scholarships available through the church.
